Legal and Risk Management Advisors
Small businesses, much like corporations, often need external help to solve critical business problems. This is where BEDC steps in and offers the services of experienced professionals and Michael G. Foster School of Business students to give small businesses the tools and knowledge they need to grow.
On Business Advising Day, the first step in the Business Assistance Program, BEDC clients participate in private sessions about legal, risk management, and insurance issues.
Attorneys from the King County Bar Association provide pro bono legal advising and Safeco Insurance agents and executives advise clients on risk exposure and contingency planning. At the end of the day, business owners leave with a clear picture of their business risks and a guide to addressing priority areas of concern.
