UW Minority Business of the Year Awards Ceremony

The UW Minority Business of the Year Awards program recognizes outstanding achievement by people of color in building and growing businesses in Washington state. This recognition communicates the impact of minority businesses on the state's economy and supports the growth of the next generation of entrepreneurs of color.

The awards are presented in conjunction with the Puget Sound Business Journal, which publishes a special feature on the award winners and covers key issues for minority-owned businesses. The PSBJ also publishes a list of Washington's largest and fastest growing minority-owned firms.

Proceeds from the dinner fund scholarships for under-represented minority students at the Michael G. Foster School of Business. These BEDC Fellows contribute back to the community by mentoring and tutoring students of color at Garfield High School.

Contribute to this scholarship fund.
