Undergraduate Business School Exchange Programs
Top quality academic and internship exchanges have been established by the Global Business Center to provide students with valuable overseas experience. We currently have programs available in twelve countries. Students who attend these exchange programs enroll in the partner institution’s business school and have full access to business courses. The cost for each program includes regular UW tuition plus travel and housing expenses. For programs taught in the local language, students must have completed two years of foreign language study prior to attendance. To apply for any of these programs, submit the completed application to Lewis Hall 313 by the date listed on the application form.

Chile: Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile
Location: Santiago, Chile
Term: Fall or Winter/Spring quarters
Language of Instruction: Spanish
Students spend Fall or Spring semesters in Santiago taking business school courses in Spanish. Santiago is the cosmopolitan center of Chile, close to both beaches and ski slopes. It is a modern and safe city, and was recently named by the Wall St. Journal as the best Latin American city in which to do business.
China: Peking University
Location: Beijing, China
Term: Fall or Spring Semester
Language of Instruction: Mandarin
Students spend Fall or Spring semester in Beijing taking business school courses in Mandarin at the Guanghua School of Management. As a leading business school in China, Guanghua School commits to provide the local and international business community with cutting-edge management knowledge and services. With Peking University’s heritage of innovation and social responsibility, its faculty continues to serve the nation with aspiration and dedication.
France: Audencia Nantes Ecole de Management
Location: Nantes, France
Term: Fall semester or Summer quarter
Language of Instruction: English or French
Students spend a quarter attending a core business school program. All classes in are taught in French. Nantes is located in western France, only two hours from Paris. A city of 500,000+ and home of one of the largest ports in France, Nantes is an important economic center. Internship opportunities are available after fall quarter.
Germany: VWA-Studienakademie, University of Cooperative Education
Location: Stuttgart/Frankfurt, Germany
Terms: Spring/Summer quarters
Language of Internship Placement: German
Students intern for 3-4 months at Robert Bosch, DaimlerChrysler, IBM or Deutsche Lufthansa (Frankfurt). The internships are paid. Free one-month German language course in Heidelberg or Freiburg. Applications are due in November.
Italy: Bocconi University
Location: Milan, Italy
Terms: Fall quarter or Winter/Spring quarters
Language of Instruction: English
Students spend either Fall or Spring semester attending the top Business School in Italy and one of the top programs in Europe. All classes are taught in English, and Italian language courses are offered for international students.
Japan: Akita International University
Location: Akita, Japan
Terms: Fall, Fall/Winter, or Spring quarter
Language of Instruction: English
Students spend one or two semesters studying at the Akita International University. Business courses are taught in English, and students can sign up for Japanese language courses as well. Akita International University is a small, liberal arts college, with a global orientation, located in the Akita Prefecture on the northern Japanese seaboard. Except for the Japanese language courses for international students, all courses at AIU are taught in English. Members of the faculty come from the world's top institutions and have rich, international teaching and research experience.
Japan: Kobe University School of Business
Location: Kobe, Japan
Terms: Fall/winter, or spring/summer quarters
Language of Instruction: Japanese
Students spend a semester studying at the Kobe University School of Business. Courses taught in Japanese. Kobe University is one of the premier business schools in Japan. The city is a vital business and economic center.
Netherlands: RSM Erasmus University
Location: Rotterdam, The Netherlands
Terms: Fall, Winter, or Spring quarters
Language of Instruction: English
Students spend anywhere from one to three quarters studying at RSM Erasmus University. This program attracts students from all over the world. This program has a truly international flavor, with international accreditation, worldwide recognition, multicultural classrooms, and international faculty.
Norway: Norwegian School of Economics & Business Administration (NHH)
Location: Bergen, Norway
Terms: Fall or Spring Semester
Language of Instruction: English
Students spend Fall or Spring Semester in Bergen taking business courses in English. NHH is Norway’s leading teaching and research institution in the field of economics and business administration. International student exchange is well integrated as part of its study programs. NHH has the best student environment in the country - in Norway’s most exciting student town – Bergen.
Singapore: Business School, National University of Singapore
Location: Singapore
Terms: Summer/Fall, or Winter/Spring quarters
Language of Instruction: English
The National University of Singapore is one of the top business schools in the Asia-Pacific region. They have hosted approximately 800 students from more than 30 countries to day. Malay is the national language. Most exchange students study and live on campus with the local students.
Spain: University of Navarra
Location: Pamplona, Spain
Term: Fall or Spring Semester
Language of Instruction: English
Students spend a semester studying at the School of Economics and Management at the University of Navarra. There are many English language business courses to select from while in Pamplona.
Taiwan: College of Commerce, National Chengchi University
Location: Taipei, Taiwan
Term: Fall quarter
Language of Instruction: English or Mandarin
Students spend a semester studying at the College of Commerce of National Chengchi University. Taipei is the capital of Taiwan, with a population of over 2 million. It is a vibrant political, economic, financial and cultural center.
United Kingdom: Manchester Business School, University of Manchester
Location: Manchester, United Kingdom
Term: Fall or Spring Semester
Language of Instruction: English
Students spend a semester studying at Manchester Business School. The second largest city in the United Kingdom, Manchester hosts one of the top business schools in the country. A lively city, Manchester is only a two hour train trip from London.
