The IKEA International Case Competition is an annual event in which teams of undergraduate business students apply their knowledge and skills to a real-life international business problem. Panels of corporate and faculty judges evaluate team analyses and recommendations based on their diagnosis of the problem, application of theory and classroom concepts, ability to communicate ideas, teamwork, and creativity.
Highlights
- Grand prize - a $1,000 gift certificate to IKEA!
- 42 hours to compete starting January 15, 2008
- Preliminary and final (afternoon) rounds – January 17, 2008
- This is a tri-campus event, and UW-Tacoma & UW-Bothell undergraduate business students are invited to compete
Volunteers Needed
The Foster School is looking for undergraduate business students to help run the IKEA International Case Competition. This is a great way to see what case competitions are all about, or to give back to the school if you have participated in the past! We will need volunteers for a variety of shifts throughout the day, on Thursday, January 17. To sign up as a volunteer, email the volunteer manager at rondel@u.washington.edu with your name and time availability. |
