CIE Resource Nights
Resource Nights, offered throughout winter quarter, bring in experts from the local entrepreneurial community to teach various aspects of writing and presenting a business plan. These sessions are open to students and the public.

Receive course credit for preparing for the Business Plan Competition and/or the UW Environmental Innovation Challenge. This winter is your chance to learn about the essentials of writing a business plan at the CIE Resource Nights and earn course credit at the same time!

ENTRE 490 | Resource Nights (2)
Attend all CIE Resource Nights on Thursdays from 6-7:30 p.m. this winter and submit a 5-7 page executive summary for the company you plan to enter into the Business Plan Competition and/or UW Environmental Innovation Challenge. (Note: This executive summary will not be your “official” entry into either event but is designed to help clarify your business strategy.) Register via MyUW.

ENTRE 440 | Business Plan Practicum (4)
This course explores the challenges/requirements of transforming an idea into a business. It emphasizes developing business concepts/strategy, marshalling resources, providing the business model, and creating strategic plans for growth. Students must attend the business plan competition resource nights and participate in the business plan competition held the following quarter. Registration information is here. This course is available to all UW students, including graduate students from other disciplines. It's a terrific class to take if you are interested in gaining business plan writing experience.
