CIE students may elect to compete in other business plan competitions sponsored by the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

Global Social Entrepreneurship Competition 2008 The Global Social Entrepreneurship Competition (GSEC) invites students from around the world to find creative and commercially sustainable ways to reduce poverty through new business development. GSEC week is scheduled for February 25 - 28, 2008.

Venture Capital Investment Competition This event requires student teams to assume the role of a venture capital firm.  Each university team is given a hypothetical $100 million fund to invest and has 48 hours to evaluate bona fide business plans before deciding where to invest their fund.  The teams then defend their allocation decisions before a judging panel of venture capitalists.  For more information contact Connie Bourassa-Shaw, Director, Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
