On March 2, 2009 the UW’s Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship will host Springboard, an annual evening networking event designed to bring the
founders/CEOs of Seattle’s dynamic early-stage companies together with entrepreneurial students at the University of Washington. Springboard brings
these two groups together in an informal setting to network, talk, and gather information.
Here are the details:
Who are the students? Undergraduates, MBAs, engineering students, law students and graduate students who have taken entrepreneurship classes.
(Note that while many students have engineering or technical backgrounds and plan to continue working in these areas, do not expect to find programmers
at this event.) Students attending Springboard are interested in working for start-ups and know their careers will be entrepreneurial.
When: Monday, March 2, 2009, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Companies can begin setting-up at 4:30 p.m. Since students start thinking about their summer
internships and job possibilities at the start of spring, our timing is excellent!
Where: Balmer Commons on UW’s Seattle Campus.
How will this work? Companies sign-up by registering on-line and paying a $35 participation fee. Part of the registration includes entering information
about your company, your need for talent, contact information, etc. At Springboard, each company will have a table where you can display company
information. Register early to secure your spot!
