Looking for a Team
I am an incoming MHA student. I am interested in working with the UW team and developing a business plan for GSEC. I just received my BA in Business Administration in March of 2008. I also have 4 years work experience for a nonprofit organization. Contact: Monica Wickham monicawickham@hotmail.com
10/9/08 I am a Senior at the UW pursuing a double degree in Computer Science and Business. I have lots of experience writing software, including working as a software developer for Microsoft this past summer. I am very interested in any ideas that involve technology, but am also open to other ideas. Resume available on request. Contact: Patrick Tsao (pattsao@u.washington.edu)
10/15/08 I'm a first year evening MBA student here at UW. My background is 10+ years in the wireless and telecom industry, and also a couple of years part time with non-profit. I'm interested in ecotourism and seek team members who share the same interest. Contact: David Mai, bounaux@gmail.com
10/15/08 I am Ke, a 2nd year Master student in Information Management at the Ischool of UW. My background is in Info Technology. I would like to find team members with Finance, Accounting or Marketing background. I haven't got any idea yet but I'd like to do something related with China, which is my home country. Contact: Ke (Clair) Ding, clairekk@gmail.com
10/21/08 I am interested in joining a GSEC team. I am a student currently studying business information systems at the University of Botswana which is the capital city Gaborone. I am very much interested in non-profit organizations. Contact: Inajame Colleen Ndwana colleenndwana@hotmail.com
10/22/08 I am a MPH-Global Health student. I am interested in forming/becoming part of a team that would like to work on the health and economic links. One idea that I have is on developing Insurance plans and programs for low and middle income groups in a developing country. For example: Inclusive growth and poverty reduction requires better health protection of poor people in low-and-middle income countries, with focus on women and children; development is bottlenecked by lack of access and financial protection of poor people. My experience from India also shows that most health insurance programs cover hospitalization and similar expenses. There are hardly any plans to cover the primary health care needs of people. I am open to other ideas too. Contact: Anjali Sakhuja at anjali1@u.washington.edu
10/27/08 I am a first year MBA student, I have served five years in the military and have a plethora of experiences setting up and working with business in foreign nations. I also have contacts and experience with several companies currently working in Africa on Ent tasks. My specialization
is in idea development and implementation as well as general team management. Contact: david.coyle@us.army.mil, Dave Coyle (CPT, FA, B CO, 1-205th WANG)
10/27/08 My name is Lian Carl and I am looking for a team for the GSEC competition. My background is in economic development and I currently work for the Grameen Technology Center where we try to apply practical technology and business solutions (mainly through microfinance) to the developing world. My interests are broad and, as a result, I do not have a particular idea. I'd be most interested in any teams looking to work with alternative energy, agriculture, microfinance or technology. Contact Lian Carl liancarl@gmail.com
11/10/08 I am very interested in social responsibility and sustainability! My name is Alexandra, and I'm a senior majoring in business at the Foster School, University of Washington. I have specific experience studying business in Thailand, Cambodia, and South Africa, and have strengths in a variety of business fields. I participated in an international case competition this past August, and my team placed 1st! Contact: Alexandra Berg, aberg2005@hotmail.com
11/12/08 I am Monica Katatumba Brown a first year Evening MBA here at the Foster School of Business UW. I was immediately drawn to the competition and would very much like to be part of a team out there. Education and ultimately helping the developing world is one of the main reasons this small town Ugandan girl is at the Foster School of Business.
