What we do...

You may be familiar with Staff Council because of the Annual Ice Cream Social, Weekly Coffee and Cookies, or the Recipe Book organized this past holiday season. We're here to tell you we are about more than just food -- well, sort of. You'll notice that a lot of our new community building initiatives revolve around food.

When originally organized, the purpose of Staff Council was noted as: 

"To provide an open forum for communication among the staff, Dean, administration and other members of the Business School Community in which common concerns can be identified, discussed and recommendations made for resolution."

The purpose of Staff Council has changed and broadened. The group will continue to be a voice for the Foster Staff, a forum for staff comments, ideas and suggestions, but Staff Council will now also be turning our energy towards building community among staff members.

Our mission is to advocate for staff within the administration and improve our School of Business community by organizing learning opportunities, social activities and community service.
