Step 4: Apply & Interview

Please read all instructions in Step 4 and review the entire admission process, available through the navigation on the left, before completing your online application, or preparing for an interview. Finally, download the Application Checklist and use it to verify that you have a complete application.

The UW MBA Program office uses a self-managed application process. You are responsible for submitting your online application, paying the fee online with a credit card, and for assembling and submitting all supplemental elements of the MBA application in one package. If you are unable to access the online application, or to pay the application fee with a credit card, you may e-mail mba@u.washington.edu and request a printable copy of the application be e-mailed to you.

To avoid unnecessary delays:

  • Always use your full legal name as it appears on your passport, birth certificate, or other official documentation when labeling any application materials or completing forms
  • Do not insert documents in additional folders/plastic sheets/envelopes
  • Do not staple documents together or bind your application materials

Send all supplemental application materials together in one large envelope to:

Deadlines

Application deadlines for the Full-time MBA Program are October 15, November 15, January 15 (final deadline for international applicants), and March 15. Deadlines specified indicate the last date upon which you may submit an online application, and the date on which all supplemental materials must be postmarked. If you apply early, your application will be held and reviewed when the program application deadline arrive

Application Exceptions

There are variations/additions in the Full-time MBA application process for international applicants, applicants applying to more than one program, and transfer applicants. Be sure to review the entire admission process for information about these variations.

Non-Degree-Seeking Applicants On a limited basis, individuals who meet specific criteria are eligible to take MBA courses without being admitted as degree-seeking students. The application process for Visiting Graduate Student (VGS) applicants and Graduate Non-matriculated (GNM) applicants is completed via coordination between two offices: the Graduate Admissions office and the UW MBA Program office. Either office may contact non-degree seeking applicants throughout the application process.
