GRADUATION INFORMATION

Graduation Guest Ticket Distribution
We will begin distributing guest tickets for the MBA Graduation Ceremony tomorrow, Wednesday, May 28th.  Tickets will be available for pickup at the front desk of the MBA Program Office.  In addition, Linda Bruen will be distributing tickets in the MBA Lounge on Thursday, May 29th from 12:30-1:30 and again on Wednesday, June 4th from 12:30-1;30.  If you would like to have your tickets mailed to you or need to make other alternate arrangements, please contact Linda directly.   

We will distribute tickets only to students who have either ordered a cap and gown for the ceremony or who have confirmed with Linda that they have obtained regalia from an alum.  Also note that we will distribute tickets only to the graduating student or to their designate with written permission.  Please direct any questions regarding graduation tickets to Linda

Parking Passes for Graduation
Parking passes are required and will be $10.00 per vehicle. Payment for parking passes and apparel will be taken on-line when finalizing your order. You may use Visa, MasterCard, a debit card, or a valid checking account number. The order will be ready on the date you select on the order form.

ACADEMIC ANNOUNCEMENTS

MBA Summer Elective Classes:
Please see the Summer 2008 Elective Course Schedule for more information.
  • To register for Summer Elective Classes: Email mbaregis to request a space. Class spaces will be allotted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  • Non-MBA Elective Classes: If you are looking for additional course options this summer, you can access the full UW Time Schedule for Summer for possibilities. Keep in mind, you need to get these approved by submitting a Non-MBA Course Request Form.
  • Tuition & fees for Summer Elective Courses: For Full-time MBA students, please go the University Summer 2008 Tuition Rates webpage. For Evening MBA students, tuition is as follows: If taking a 3-credit class only (such as the MGMT 500 CORE class): $3,046.00 plus fees; if taking 5 total credits: $4,569.00 plus fees; if taking 7 total credits: $5,331.00 plus fees.

Summer MBA classes at UWT
Options for summer MBA classes at the UW Tacoma, pending instructor approval on a case-by-case basis, include:

Term A (June 23-July 23)

  • TACCT 520 International Accounting Seminar, (4 credits), Shahrokh Saudagaran. Meets Friday 6-8pm on 6/27/08. Saturdays: 9-5pm on 6/28, 7/12, 7/19, 7/26.
  • TMGMT 530 Organization Design, (4 credits), Jill Purdy. Meets M/T/Th, 6-8:30pm on June 23, 24, 26, 30, July 1, 3, 7, 8, 10, 14, 15, 17, 21, 22.

Term B (July 24-August 22)

  • TMGMT 553 Leadership in a Changing World, (4 credits), Don Summers. Meets M/W, 6-9:15pm on July 24, 28, 30, August 4, 6, 11, 13, 18.

Autumn Quarter 2008 Elective Classes
Elective classes for Autumn quarter 2008 can be requested on a space-availalbe basis. Please email your requests to mbaregis@u.washington.edu. Note that Autumn MBA electives will open up for Non-MBA student registration requests on June 2.

If you have questions about your autumn schedule or would like to have your remaining degree requirements checked, please email mbaregis@u.washington.edu.  

Reminder to Full-time MBA students: You must register for Autumn class by June 22 to maintain priority in classes. On June 23, all elective class spaces for which you have not registered will be released for reallocation.
