Social Support

Friends, support, and community can be found through the Foundation for International Understanding through Students (FIUTS) which:

• Provides social support services for international students
• Coordinates short-term home-stays, trips, and tours
• Plans international student orientation and cultural workshops
• Offers an orientation program for UW international students

In addition to FIUTS, there are many student organizations on the UW campus that were developed to provide support for students from different ethnic, cultural, and international backgrounds.

Within the MBA Program, organizations such as the MBA Association, the Global Business Association, and the Student Support Network strive to help international students get acclimated to our program culture and to Seattle; to support students academically; and to provide numerous social and cultural events for students and their families.
