Taking Non-MBA Courses
MBA students are allowed to take 16 credits (four 4-credit elective classes)
of graduate or upper-level undergraduate course work outside the MBA Program
to satisfy degree requirements.
Courses Outside the Foster School of Business
If you wish to take a course outside the Foster School of Business that will count toward
your degree requirements, submit a Non-MBA Class Request form (pdf) or pick up a copy in the
MBA Program Office. Deliver the completed form to the MBA Office at least one
month prior to the start of the quarter. Approval takes about a week and
is required before you start the class.
For enrollment information, contact the course instructor or the department through
which the course is scheduled.
Pre-approved Non-MBA Classes
Some courses are pre-approved and do not require the submission of a Non-MBA Class
Request form. To actually enroll in the courses, however, you must receive approval
and an entry code from the instructor or the appropriate departmental office.
