Each quarter Foster MBA students register for elective courses through a two-step process. First through a pre-registration bidding process with the MBA Program Office, then through the University of Washington MyUW system.

Since some electives are in greater demand than others, and to ensure equitable access, a bid system is used prior to students registering via the University's registration system. Each quarter before you register for your elective classes you receive a set amount of bid points based on your program which are adjusted for the number of business elective courses required for your academic program.

The bid process determines in which elective courses you have approval to enroll. (Current first year full-time students will receive more information on the bidding process during spring quarter and second-year evening students during winter quarter.)
