Admission is open to all UW majors with junior standing and a 2.5 GPA. Students are encouraged to apply early in their junior year to assure a place in the program as well as to get an early start on the prerequisite course(s). Applications to the program may be made any time during the year and before all prerequisites are completed. However, if you want to be included in the Spring practicum (MKTG 496), you must submit your application by the first day of Winter quarter. Selection for the program is based on academic accomplishment, previous work experience, school activities, and a personal interview.
After your interview and acceptance to the program, you are open to take the required and elective courses ending with the sales practicum where you will be matched with one of our local business partners in an industry of your choice. Between the classroom experience in MKTG 496 and your practical business to business sales experience (about eight hours per week), you will have acquired a valueable learning experience.
