Choose your Internship Recognition Type

There are two means of recognition for undergraduate internships in the Foster School.

  1. Certificate of Completion: By submitting this form, you can apply for a certificate, signed by the Associate Dean and the Undergraduate Program Director, in recognition of your internship. You can receive a certificate whether or not you are receiving credit for your internship. All students are encouraged to pursue the Certificate of Completion.

  2. 495 Course Credit: In the Foster School, if you are interested in receiving credit for your internship, you need to register for a 495 course. Following are the 495 courses that are available to business students:
    • ACCTG 495
    • MKTG 495
    • I BUS 495
    • I S 495
    • FIN 495
    • MGMT 495
    • OPMGT 495

See the 495 Credit website for details.

It is possible for some students to receive internship credit outside of the Foster School via GEN ST 350, which is offered through the Carlson Leadership and Public Service Center. Note that GEN ST 350 may not count toward the 90 non-business credits required for the BA BA.
