Advertising and Recruiting

The Foster undergraduate program acts as a clearinghouse for undergraduate internships. We prominently display internship listings, distributes listings to student via email, and routinely encourage students to consider the merit of such an experience. We do not, however, recruit students to fill particular internship positions and we cannot guarantee an employer an intern nor a student an internship.

Resources for listing internship positions descriptions:

  • HuskyJobs: This is the primary UW system for locating internship opportunities. The system is maintained by the UW Career Center.

  • BSchool email listserv: Position listings are sent to student subscribers weekly. To have a position listed, send an email to our internship coordinator.

  • Paper announcements: The internships bulletin board is in Mackenzie Hall, across from the main advising office for business undergraduates. Send announcements via email or hardcopy to:

    Foster School of Business
    Undergraduate Programs Office
    137 Mackenzie Hall
    University of Washington
    Box 353200
    Seattle, WA 98195-3200
  • The Carlson Center: This center maintains a listserv for internships positions focused on public service and the non-profit sector.

  • Company websites: Most employers post their internship positions on their own websites as well as on the resources provided by the UW.

A note about HuskyJobs

While the HuskyJobs system is viewable by students in all programs at the UW, you are able to designate the category in which the description will appear. You are able to restrict applications to any subset of students that you deem appropriate (i.e. only students in Business , only students pursuing the Marketing Option, etc.).

The UW Career Center offers a variety of services to employers, including on-campus interviewing, career fairs, and more. We encourage employers to form relationships with both our Undergraduate Programs Office and the UW Career Center.
