Post-baccalaureate Students

A limited number of spaces in the Foster School of Business are available to students who have already completed an undergraduate degree and wish to pursue a second. Post-baccalaureate students must apply to the University as well as to the School. Admission to the school is based on a post-bac applicant's academic record for the last 90 credits of coursework, grades in specific required courses, written communication skills, and evidence of leadership skills and community activities.

To be considered for admission, a post-baccalaureate applicant must submit complete applications to both the University of Washington and the Foster School of Business. Admission to the school is contingent upon admission to the University.

If you have a business degree (BA, BS, or MBA) and want to complete the Accounting Option (also known as "Accounting Only") you must have completed these courses: financial accounting, managerial accounting, microeconomics, macroeconomics, calculus, an approved statistics course, and an English composition course from an English-speaking educational institution.

Due to the complexities of post-baccalaureate admissions, we strongly recommend that anyone wishing to apply as a post-bac discuss the process with a business adviser and a University admissions counselor. Post-bac applicants should also consider the School’s MBA Program.
